Digital Marketing: Engaging with the Customer

The student will undertake a critical analysis of the company's digital marketing strategy, how it drives customer engagement, and the Martech it deploys to deliver and measure that strategy. This analysis will be undertaken against the backdrop of the company's customer value proposition, segmentation and positioning. Based on this analysis, the student will write a report making specific digital marketing recommendations. This is an opportunity for your company to benefit from fresh perspectives and ideas.
Customer Satisfaction Survey & Analysis

Offer: Individual students from Southampton, UK are seeking live-client opportunities to design, gather and evaluate customer experience satisfaction surveys (preferably from consumers, rather than B2B) for your firm. What you gain: Do you work for, or own, an existing SERVICE firm, where you'd really like to know what your current customers like about your offer, but don't have the time to do it? Our students will work with you to create, launch and evaluate the results from an online survey asking what your customers value, want and expect from your service experience. Outputs: Then, they generate a tailored report based on statistical analyses and four key recommendations for your firm, to address any related issues. This provides 'real-world', applied learning for students and practical insights for your business!

Students in this module will be studying the unprecedented range of applications that support digital marketing, ranging from ‘out of the box’ applications to support changing digital ecosystem such as e-mail marketing, search engine marketing, social media marketing, affiliate/influencer marketing as well as enabling technologies for marketing such as website design, user experience implementation, engagement and metrics.
Business Challenge
As part of the Business Challenge, Students will work in small teams to solve a real-life business issue provided by a real client. Students will work with the client to co-create a brief both parties are happy with, that aims to tackle a business challenge whilst developing the students transferrable skills and enhancing their employability. Students will need to explore the issue and report back to the client, providing recommendations of solutions to the problem. The client briefing session will take place on the 15th June 12:00 - 15:00 in person and the recommendations will be presented in July at both the teams' and organisations convenience.

Then let our students to do it for you! The services sector remains an integral component of a thriving local, national and global economy. This area of study is critical since services are inherently unique and possess characteristics not seen in other areas of marketing and business. Indeed, the intangible nature of services offers marketers a range of interesting opportunities but also poses many significant challenges. Students in this module will take a critical and research-oriented perspective, and will be exposed to concepts ranging from customer experience management, relationship development, services buyer behaviour, service innovation, service quality and issues surrounding the management of employees and human resources practice.

Bringing New Green Innovation to Market - Challenges/Opportunities

With increasing environmental awareness comes a need for commercially sustainable solutions to energy and resource conservation. The challenge lies in translating environmentally sound technologies into viable market solutions and business ventures - just because it is the right thing to do does not mean that customers will buy! In this project, students will develop a strategic plan to address your organization’s challenge(s), particularly in terms of the environmental agenda as it relates to the political, social-economic, technological, and organisational context. Students will assess whether they believe that the company will be successful in light of the challenges that they identify and, finally, to propose an action plan of how to overcome them. Upon completion of the project, you will receive a a 20-minute presentation with recommendations on how to tackle the challenges for your initiative(s).
