With increasing environmental awareness comes a need for commercially sustainable solutions to energy and resource conservation. The challenge lies in translating environmentally sound technologies into viable market solutions and business ventures - just because it is the right thing to do does not mean that customers will buy! In this project, students will develop a strategic plan to address your organization’s challenge(s), particularly in terms of the environmental agenda as it relates to the political, social-economic, technological, and organisational context. Students will assess whether they believe that the company will be successful in light of the challenges that they identify and, finally, to propose an action plan of how to overcome them. Upon completion of the project, you will receive a a 20-minute presentation with recommendations on how to tackle the challenges for your initiative(s).
